"Of course, I'm going to go speak with my mother and father and let them know I'll be leaving with you soon. I believe that Jonathan stopped to speak with them outside the office. If you hurry, you might catch them."
(((We'll do your little convo before the visit to Kesson's uncle and the wake.)))

(((Yeah...you're good to go.)))
Arik found the men as Jonathan and they were parting ways. Jonathan nodded to Arik as he passed the man and gave him a strong pat on the shoulder. He said nothing, and from his posture could tell the man was headed about important business matters.

(OOC) you would have me roll a Fort save! I'm a freekin Mage. Let me give you a will save instead? Anyway, looks like the dice still like me Jervis Fort Save (yuck) (1d20=19)

(OOC) Serol will want to return to the temple. He has prayer and donations to make (though with his increased standing he might get to keep some of his loot this time himself) Let me know.
As for the Dog, I think we should give it to Kessen's Uncle.

(((Not a bad idea...about the dog...When Josh and you finish your convo, I'll send you over to the temple.
Who wants to go with Shernof to Kesson's uncle's place?)))

Arik waited for both men to notice him then spoke softly, "I truly am sorry for your loss although I am grateful that both of you lived. I have heard so much about your group and wanted to personally extend my thanks for the aid rendered to my fiance's family. What can I do to be of assistance at this time?"

(OOC) assuming that I can do so while still making an appearance at the temple. Serol would like to go. Kessen was a quiet man and he didn't know him well, but he was a valued member of the group and Serol would want to explain his actions. He doesn't feel guilty with the choice he made, but the uncle should know.

"I think you have done quite enough helping Serol save my life after that nasty bite, not to mention chasing the foul ghoul down before it could escape. Kesson would be happy in any regard knowing his memory lives on, and that his dog lives too."

"Then for that I am glad. It would be our honor for my brothers and I to help in returning the body to his family...perhaps we might even find more goblins and gift them with destruction. I know that Lord Ironstar and I would be happy to help you exchange what items you dont wish to keep. I am a merchant as is the dwarf and Im quite sure we could help ensure at least some profit to offset the costs of the new endeavor."

Serol nodded still wrapped in the somberness of the mood. Everything had happened so fast. He had barely climbed from the hole only long enough for Kessen to be wisked away and killed.
In truth the man and dwarven friends had been a great boon upon the party. Without them, there might have been more casulties. He was dangerously low on spells and chasing the undead through the tunnels would have been risky to say the least.
"Your timing was a gift of the gods." he said keeping back the part that he could only have asked they arrived a split second earlier.
"You have not only saved the lives of the dog, but quite likely Jack, Jervis or myself as well. Your company would be welcome even if the celebration of new found companions is forced to be toned down in light of new developments. You have my thanks, and may the blessings of the Firelord be forever upon the hearth of your home. As for the treasure, I've my eye on the suit of armor but the rest may be divided in a way equatable. You have my full trust in this issue."

"I do not wish to take that which does not belong to the Brothers, and we would only accept what you would feel is fair to offer. To trade your goods though, there will be no charge. Thorgar and I feel privileged to make your acquaintance and we hope to have you both consider joining the Wolves as our brothers in the future adventures with which Im hopeful we will share. I will trust Jack with this decision."

"As it maybe, each man is free to come and go as they please. I for one am very interested in what future adventures will bring. One thing I must warn you about...the gnome...he is a bit...touched..."
