Fellas, I wont even begin to explain how sorry I am at disappearing. Needless to say, that the work and job, plus massive scope of the campaign were simply too much for one sexy mofo to handle. When my wife came home, I was still working 80+ hours a week, so I had to put in time with the family when I wasnt working. That didnt leave any time to manage the story.
Sorry for the inconvenience, time you put in, and failure on my part to control things appropriately. Losing 2 of the main story contributors before we even started pretty screwed things up and I simply couldnt keep up a story designed for 3 guys to run with one guy available to keep things moving along.
Either way, feel free to grab what info you want to save and I will leave the boards intact until next week. Next Sunday though, I will sit down and move the Lantan game to the top, then erase the old campaign.
I would love to allow each of you to use this board for your individual campaigns as well. Please let me know if you are interested or have need to do so. My table top group runs all of our 'off topic' stories on a site almost identical to this one.

Wow, I'm so sorry to hear you had such a rough time of it. I wanted to stop and take this time and say how much I enjoyed this game. This character and the RP that happened between you, several others and myself has been some of my favorite in a long line of RP.
I can understand your reasons for being missing, heck we all have real life issues that sometimes get in the way. I for one totally understand.
That being said, I would hate to see you give up entirely on the campaign. It has been a lot of fun, and though you may feel like you left us in a spot from which there is no return, let me assure you, I for one don't feel that way. I would pick up the Lawfather and start RPing him again tomorrow. Should you wish to change your mind, even if your sabatical continues, I would hate to see everything lost.
Summing up, thanks for all the fun. I hope things get better for you soon.

Ditto on everything from lawfather...
As for the boards...I'm not sure what to do about them just yet. I'd have to sleep on it, I think. There's a lot of good writing here on the boards...but if we do close 'em up and move 'em out, we definitely need to give folks ample time to collect their writing and info, just in case they'd like to keep it.
Glad to hear it's all calming down for ya and I hope everything's working out well.

Totally understood, boss. Though honestly if you want to re-start things up it's not like we've forgotten how to play in the interim And it WAS an outstanding idea, feel free to send a yell when things clear up if you want to start up again or start up something new -Will

I want to do two things. The first, is that I want to take the info I've started on and write a WoTC sanctioned story for Narfell. DarkAffair/Keli knows one of the editors for their online content so we have a good chance there. Of course, I would invite whoever wants to help out because its going to require a bit of energy, but since I wrote almost a 80 pages of material for the first and current campaigns, I dont think it will be too hard. What Im shooting for is something like the Sons of Gruumsh adventure, but a bit longer and encompassing alot more progression using character trees like Dark Sun used to. If we get ambitious enough, I would try to expand it into a regional source book for Vaasa, Damara, Narfell, and the Wastes, but right now, I just want to put out a quality adventure for WoTC. I will start posting some of the material that we have and let folks help out with editing and improvements. If it gets approved for print, I will make sure folks get due credit...play testing would be absolutely essential and I like many of the current characters...etc. I would really like some help if any of you are interested, especially as a sounding board.
The second thing Im going to do is play in Denny's Lantan campaign and conquer the islands...
Beyond that, I have a very cool idea for a story I would like to run in addition if any of you are still interested...I will post details about that this weekend.

I know I've already offered, but let me know if you need any help. I'd be glad to do what I can. As for campaigns on the board...I think it'd be great to run a few campaigns here. Just divvy up the boards and give players the option of running in a few different campaigns here and there. If someone wants to get one started...we'll help 'em set up a board and they can recruit players. Might require some restructuring...but I think we could do it. Maybe even turn a forum into a place for you, Josh, to bat some ideas around with other players to weed out the good ones from the bad ones and develop material as needed. Just a thought, of course. We can compile what's written here and make sure we save it for future reference for not only Josh but the players involved here. Anyway...let me know what you think...there are definitely a lot of good things we could do here. Also, if you need help with editing or pre-editing before your done...that's also kinda my thing. I dabble in that professionally for the Air Force...obviously we don't put out much D&D Source Material, lol, but I do edit a lot of documents, reports, articles and instructional books for content, grammar, punctuation, spelling and the like. So I can help out there if need be. My title might be Writer, but I probably spend half my time reading and editing as well. So let me know. And I wish ya the best of luck. As for conquering the islands goes now...well...let's just say that your character has to sleep some time.

I think both those ideas are great ones. I have to confess I have very little experience DMing anything so coming up with a campaign is well beyond the scope of anything I've tried. I'm not sure how much help I can be, but I pride myself on my creativity. If there's a way I can help, I'd love to. Playtesting is absolulty something I could do.
Look forward to playing with you Oh' Sexxi one. Should be fun.

I'll snag my stuff later today or tonight. lol Man...I gotta start putting more threads on email alert. lol Logged on and expected Lantan at the good old bottom of the page and got a little concerned (you know...the norm...hyperventolatin' and such j/k) when I didn't see the ole familiar Lantan at the bottom. lol Seems I only check when the threads I've got email alerts on get posted in. Blasted technology.
