Wow! I just finished reading the Players Handbook 3.5 II and that about sums it up. Just really well written shit and some cool options for characters and retooling them...the Knight is amazingly cool, though I think the Beguiler is a bit overpowered...anyway, I really liked it so props to Luke for getting to Keli who passed it along like a beautiful disease. The spells and new feats make the book very much worth its money. I also took time to read the Heroes of Battle all the way through finally...good sheit indeed...and I really like the decorations and rep/promotion points...combined with the background options from Unearthed Arcana could really be a great way to flesh out characters who arent starting at 1st level.
Im also seriously considering writing a series of small adventure stories for the Border Kingdoms area. I've spent months researching Narfell/Raumathor background and it seems alot more saturated then I first thought...or maybe Im just a flighty airhead =P The influence of Impiltur and Rashemen make it alot less appealing then I first thought...I mean literally every book Ive read on FR lately just has more and more shit on the area. It irritates me. Ed and Eric Boyd (a very cool guy if you havent met him) wrote a cool series of small write ups on the Border Kingdoms in Power of Faerun that I really liked...much more of the feel that the original FR setting had when I opened up this gorgeous, gray and brown papered box set.
The boards also seem to have died a bit. I havent seen Bill or Zed post in 2 weeks a piece and with Denny working through some personal stuff, it seems like Keli, Luke, and I with Ben dropping in WAY late in the night. Maybe thats the way that online games are supposed to go, but it frustrates me a bit. I would like to see Luke's game get rolling along so we can advertise our little group here a bit on the Wizards Forums...there are still a handful of guys hanging around from the original Narfell campaign that Im sure would be interested, but it would be nice to see this place humming again.
And I spent a glorious 11 days not working which made me smile almost every day I wasnt throwing up from my kid giving me some nasty virus for the first part of my vacation. Now that I am back...its time to kill shit.
