On the Occasion. But it's super funny.

Yeah....doesn't seem to be as humorous anymore...but definitely that first story-arc. I always got a decent chuckle out of it. Just one of those things only gamers really find humour in. Kind of like the song Ready to Roll by Flashlight Brown. Canadian band...and IMHO the only good thing to come from Canadia. j/k

What about beer and timbits?

You mean from ole Canadia? Bah...everybody knows the best beer comes from overseas.
Seriously though...try to find that song: "Ready to Roll" by Flashlight Brown. You'll get a good laugh...and not a bad tune if that's your kinda music. Personally I'm in the mood for it every once in a while.

On a different note, it might be easier for combat scenes if everyone involved just logged on to an AIM chatroom. Its really simple to use, and has an internal dicebot, too. Then, when combat's done, you can just post the play by play.

While that might certainly be done when there are only two, maybe three combatants, it's hardly good for larger scale battles. And in the chatroom, it might become a bit confusing since everyone seems to have their own harem of cohorts.

Hmm. A harem would be good...

I know I've mentioned this before...but D&D chat is by far the best for combat. Even better than AIM. I believe this is the link: www.triaxe.co.uk/dnd/index.php?page=Online%20ChatGo to the online chat tab on the left...click the word "download" (duh? right. ) and then give her a try. The board is fantastic. It's an online battle mat and you can make your rolls in the chat as well. You'll want everyone to choose different colors, obviously, so that what you draw on the board doesn't get confused with everyone else's, but that's simple. It's really quite nice. If anyone wants to try it out a little later on with someone else to see what it's like, send me a PM later tonight and when I get home I'll hop on and we can give it a test run. Though I think the features are all pretty obvious and accessible without multiple folks in a room. With the different colors and the battlemat, even with cohorts and followers it would be simpler to do small to moderate combat. The fact still remains that, unless you get some type of program from the web...large-scale battles with two or more participants is still gonna be hard. That's just the facts of life, my friends.

Just thought I'd give kudos to everyone on the stories and RP I've been reading. Especially Melinda, Delkar and Phaer...who have helped generate an interesting situation and keep it entertaining. I find myself cursing the moments I can't be on here to continue reading and developing the story with you all.
Also been enjoying the Gnomes of Myrvokal...definitely the spice our little world needs.
And as for the Dwarves...well I was watching The Fellowship of the Ring a few days ago with my little brother (he's obsessed with the movie)...when they got into Khazad'um...I kinda started laughing...thanks to Melinda and Jabernathy for that laugh.

Just doing my job, I guess. But I'm not complaining. ;D Yes, you're right, this is turning out to be a very nice little board, and the storylines are sure to enter the annals of RPing history, thanks to all those involved (you too, Cyphus ) And, I know I'm a nitpicker, but if I don't point it out, no one will: it's Phear of Cleopatra. Phear. Not Phaer. It's like Fear, only with Ph. I know it's not an usual sn, but I found it original and catchy
