"Seems like goblins are the least of your friends worries." the priest whispered. Pushing the two men as he steped forward.
"Come lads lets make haste!"
[I'll run towards the keep I'll weapons and shield as we approach he keep.] [Damn these stubby legs]

(((ROFL...that puts you like 16 or so rounds just from hitting the keep entrance. Man...these guys are screwed! lol Of course...Josh is wearing plate too, isn't he? So...that puts Josh like 11 rounds from the entrance...and you still have to navigate your way down into the basement. )))

(((So...he might be able to do something for them. Plus I think my math was off...figured him at a 30 foot x3 speed. Should've only been 20 feet. If he's in Banded mail, he could get to 'em in about 15 rounds or so if he booked it. Combat will likely be over long before then, but he'll get there. )))

(((Damn Smurfs...always creeped me out as a kid.)))
Shernof takes off running. "I agree with the Dwarf. Move as fast as you can, they may need our help."
Shernof obviously cared for the men. Arik had honestly rarely seen him like this. The Shernof he knew and loved only rushed into danger for very close friends or charges. It wasn't that he didn't value life or care for others...Shernof was a good man and cared for all. But when soldiers were in battle, if it didn't make sense to move tactically...he didn't. These men were obviously important to Shernof. If Arik had to guess, it was probably a sense of debt. They had accomplished something he might not have on his own. The ranger felt he owed these men.
Shernof left them behind, and soon Arik was leaving the Dwarf behind. The ranger had always been faster, especially when Arik was burdened by the banded mail he wore. The dwarf, in the heaviest armor of all, was either destined to miss out on the combat entirely or arrive too late. Arik knew in his heart that the same was likely true of himself. Shernof stood the best chance. Still, it was possible the ranger could hold off several foes for a time...and he wanted to be damned sure the woodsmen had reinforcements.

Arik ran until his heart was slamming against his chest...the smell of blood and sweat coursed through his helm and matted his hair, still he followed the ranger as best as he could. Behind him, he could hear the dwarf laboring along. More screaming could be heard as they progressed through a series of tunnels into the basement...the bodies of goblins and ghouls could be seen through doorways and in the halls, "Shernof, what madness filled these halls? Thorgar!" he yelled "Stay wary! The undead wander this place!!"
