Hi, I'm playing Karythar Uaulimandu. I've got his Charsheet posted on the Characters page. Now I just need to find out how to join a thread. He's on his way to the Rawlinswood, if that helps.

Welcome Krythar. It's pretty simple. So far all you really need to do is familiarize yourself with the Narfell area of Forgotten Realms. Then just start writing about your character's journey here.

You can read some of the other threads to get an idea of what's going on. The DMs, will work you in as they can.

If you're in the Rawlinswood there's a chance you might run into Whispers, Cyphus, Melinda or myself or the thousands of Orcs gathered there.

If you have any questions I'm happy to help. But best thing right now is just to write a post indroducing the players and DMs to your characters. Tell us (in a story) who your character is, why he's here, what he hopes to accomplish and how his journey has been so far. Really the best suggestion I have is to read some of the early posts from others here.

I've really been impressed by the quality of postings so far that I've seen.

Yo, I believe Josh inevitably wants you in Peltarch or N'jast, N'jast is probably a more suitable area for you because of the College of Aesthetic learning. That teaches an array of Items from Art Song and Magic. But as well If I can ever get qelo to post we are also having the Green Grass Festival there and will be a large engagement that you can Post and see whom you want to involve yourself with.

So if you wanting to not decide Just yet I'd say make your way towards N'jast. =D

Well, I get the general idea of narrating Karythar's journey to the Rawlinswood, but I'd like to know where to post it to. I don't want to post to somewhere I'm not supposed to.

Could a DM help with some pertinent info?

There are two boards for each region. One is the adventure board the other is the general board. You may post the doings of your character as much as you like in the general board. That's where you'd post your journey and interactions with other players.

The adventure boards are for encounters planned by the DM. The DM will initiate these encounters and then only characters directly involved may post in the adventure boards.

Once you figure out which region you're starting out in. I agree with Keli that you'll probably want to start in N'jast, even if ICly it's just a stop over for you. In N'jast you'll have an easier time interacting with the other players as currently each person in the Rawlinswood is involved with their own adventure thread so won't be able to interact with you, without DM intervention.

Okay, I've posted a journeying thread for my character under the N'jast region board. I hope I did that right. Now my characyter just needs to find someone to interact with.
