Sure, now I have another question! And I forgot my first one - Oh! First question. .what should we be posting where re: general versus adventure threads for the regions.
- Second question. .in the leadership description it says that 'only followers get doubled if you take leadership twice. . and in the nation-builder description it says the leadership feat is a bonus and mentions both followers AND cohorts. . yet in the example it says that you only get one or the other (i.e. a leadership feat only gives cohorts OR followers) while I was under the belief (admittedly not having played with leadership much) that the leadership feat gives both.
Anyway. To get just a normal amount of cohorts and a normal amount of followers do I have to take leadership twice? I'm totally cool with either, I just want to make sure my guy's on the up-and-up -Will/Roonkin

Hehehehe... how's that for a bubble buster? But I think he's a badguy... and Josh outlined a few rules for those. You better off asking Josh about that, oh innocent one.

Esstenially your first leadership is Leadership giving you extra followers and cohorts. Your second leadership is more like Extra Followers (From Heroes Of Battle) Adding only followers and nothing else.

Yeah, that's kind of what I figured initially. .but in the example given it doesn't work that way, so I wanted to make TOTALLY sure

But thankfully it is not Extra Followers, cause I took it.

Ok, now I'm the confused. So I can have 3 leadership feats, in which the first gives me both cohorts and followers, the second gives me followers and the third gives me more cohorts?

From what I understand you can have cohorts only once and thats on your first taking of leadership.
All other leaderships only add followers.

I didnt know we were playing "the one with the followers wins" game.
A little discretion is always justified.

Wel no, the feat Extra Followers isn't Leadership. It is jsut an extra feat that has Leadership as a requirement and effects the number of followers you can get.
If you want more info...buy the book!

If you want more info...buy the book! Or you can just ask Umm. . and it doubles the amount of followers you can have per the leadership chart, which is exactly the same as a second taking of the leadership feat in our campaign per house rules.

Ummm...I'm still utterly confused. Might I request that someone (one of the DM's preferably) post a simple example in this thread so that we can all insure we're doing it appropriately. Because, even now, I'm not sure that I did it appropriately. I had a leadership score of 15 and took the Religious Leader build. So, I assumed with Leadership twice (per Josh's mini-description) taking leadership was basically this: you get either one or the other (followers v. cohorts). For the first one, I took two cohorts: A level 8 Paladin and a level 7 Ranger. (It was my understanding that you could have more than one cohort with this rule but their levels could not be higher than 1 under yours and their total levels could not exceed your leadership score). For the second I took the followers Originally, I took the two cohorts and double the normal followers. This, I thought, was the intent of Leadership. But from my conversations with Josh I was led to believe that it was one or the other and I adjusted accordingly. Now, after looking at everyone else's builds (especially those with an utterly massive amount of followers and cohorts) I'm confused and not ignorant enough to believe I'm the only one doing it right...or wrong. lol I know others are confused as well. Any DM assistance/demonstration would be appreciated.
Gotta say...and I don't think I'm the only one...the Leadership aspects of this whole thing have been utterly confusing and the biggest delay. I've revamped two or three times...and it takes quite a while to do as many of you know.
Anyway...any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I'm STILL working on it because of the Leadership rules.

Same here.
I just followed this rule Leadership, taken more then once, doubles only the number of followers. If it is taken more then twice, then just keep doubling the number of followers, not specific cohorts (see below).
