(This is something just to wet all your teeth, once I get a few more character sheets in I'll start expanding the story and once we are ready to start...we'll start!)
Mirtul 14th 1378 DR
It almost seemed like summer had come early this year, the sky was blue and the sun was high in the sky. Only a single cloud was in the sky floating lazily across the sky overlooking those below.
On the ground in the small hamlet of Two Kings things where not as tranquil as it was in the sky. Word had just finally reached the small community that Lord Nasher Alagondar of Neverwinter and several other nobles within the city had been slaughtered by assailants unknown during the night. They even had the audacity to make off with the Lord’s body to prevent resurrection.
The instant vacation of power plunged Neverwinter into civil war, all the nobles vying for the throne stabbing one another in the back just to climb over their shoulders. The vacuum of power resulted in the city guard dispatched to neighboring communities to return home in an attempt to restore the peace.
To a city who barely boasted a hundred souls within its wooden walls losing the dispatch from Neverwinter was something they could scarcely afford and still be able to defend their homes.
Saddened by the leave of the guard the community still stood strong together, the militia had protected the town before and Orcs hadn’t dared to attack the settlement for well over a decade…they would be alright until the guard could return…
